1. Stay away from water for the first 48 hours after application, these 2 days are the most crucial time period when it comes to the longevity of your lashes as the glue is still setting. Being exposed to water in these two days weakens the lashes and means they may fall out earlier than supposed to.

2. Oil and eyelash extensions do not go together so only use an oil free makeup remover to remove your makeup. A simple cleaning facial wipe can be used around the eye area. Avoid using cotton pads as it sticks to the lashes. Take care when using night creams and moisturisers and avoid around the eye area.

3. To avoid your lashes losing their shape and being clumped together use a clean mascara spoolie wand and roll it carefully over your lashes. This is advised especially after showering.

4. Unless you have an oil free mascara especially for extensions do not attempt to use your normal mascara as it will clump the lashes together and shorten their lifespan. It would be advised to use as little eye makeup as possible as it gets easily caught between the lashes which causes debris build up. This may unfortunately lead to a premature lash loss.

5. Eyelash extensions will naturally fall off after 4 weeks or so and even with the last remaining few, no matter how badly you want your new set you must not pull them out. Prematurely pulling out lashes damages your own natural lashes. Also keep your hands away from your face as much as possible.

6. Please do not face plant your pillow and instead sleep on your back as much as you can. Finding the right sleeping position is key to avoiding having crushed lashes. A silk pillow case is great for extensions as it allows the lashes to glide on the surface while you sleep.
